Wireless Communications For
Business
Out of the office you need the
same ability to communicate as you have at your desk. Here are
some of the hottest mobile devices for business...
New! Amazon Kindle Wireless Reading Device
This amazing
new wireless device lets you carry an entire library of books
without getting a hunchback from backpacking them or making one
arm longer than the other with fifty pounds worth in your briefcase.

This is the long-awaited electronic book
reader that will change the way we read books. It's not a PC
tablet or notebook. Instead, Kindle uses an advance called "electronic
paper" to display black text on a neutral background without
the eyestrain caused by backlit displays. It's just as easy to
read outdoors as indoors. It weighs less than a book, too, and
runs up to a week on a battery charge.
Here's something else exciting. The Kindle
connects wirelessly with Amazon.com using the Sprint EV-DO cellular
broadband network. You don't pay a monthly fee for this. Amazon
foots the bill for your wireless connection. Sample, buy and
download books and newspapers at will. No Wi-Fi connection needed.
Your Kindle will hold up to 200 books and still weigh in at 10.3
ounces. Learn more now about Kindle:
Amazon's New Wireless Reading Device
BlackBerry 8800
This particular implementation of the BlackBerry design supports
the Cingular network. It's a GSM quad band world phone with high
speed download using EDGE cellular broadband technology. That
gives it bandwidth up to 144 Kbps, more than adequate
for email and small screen Web activities. A unique feature is
support for Cingular's push-to-talk or PTT walkie-talkie services.
PTT is handy for quick verbal communications back and forth.
You go back to regular full duplex cellular phone service for
those longer conversations.
BlackBerry made its name on text-based
communications and this model offers full support. You get the
BlackBerry email client that can integrate with up to 10 accounts
for business-secure transmissions. You can view business document
attachments in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint formats.
BlackBerry Messenger also comes preloaded for instant messaging.
Messaging is made painless with the full backlit QWERTY keyboard.
Screen navigation is by trackball like the BlackBerry Pearl,
replacing the previous track wheel.
Other on-the-go applications include full
HTML Web browsing with bookmarks and BlackBerry Maps support.
GPS locator is included as is Telenav. The digital assistant
is becoming a navigation system as well.

cell phones gathering dust in the basement? Don't put them in
the trash when you can get from a few dollars up to a hundred
